Individuals and organizations in the city that are bettering the lives of children were honoured yesterday at the Manitoba Children’s Museum inaugural Great Friend to Kids Awards.

Rick Frost, CEO of the Winnipeg Foundation, received the individual award for his efforts in introducing youth-related initiatives at the Foundation.

Rossbrook House received the organization award, providing alternatives to the streets for children and youth in the inner-city.

Montana Lehmann was also being honoured at the awards for her determination to make the world a better place.
