“The Fringe is always out there, pushing new boundaries,” says Chuck McEwen, executive producer of the festival. “We’re always discovering new plays, new styles, new artists—and going beyond where we’ve been before. You never know what you’re going to see!” In addition to the indoor performances, which have already broken attendance records, the Fringe is also offering free entertainment in Old Market Square and the surrounding Exchange District streets. “It has a nice street festival feel to it,” says McEwen. You can catch bands, buskers and other entertainers onstage from noon to midnight, and be sure to check out the vendor court and Kids Fringe.
